How to embed your Instagram feed in Shopify
You do not need an app. Add a Custom Liquid section in the theme editor, paste one embed code, and your Instagram posts appear in your store and stay up to date.

Before you start: get your embed code
- Sign up for Social Feed by grip space with your email address. The Free plan lets you create one widget.
- In the dashboard, click “+ Connect Instagram account” and connect an Instagram professional account (Business or Creator). A personal account can be switched to a professional account for free in the Instagram app.
- Open “Settings & preview”, choose a grid or a slider, set the number of posts and columns while checking the preview, and save.
- Under “Add the embed code to your website”, click “Copy”. The code looks like this:
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://n246.grip.space/api/v1/instagram/widget/xxxxxxxx"></script>The posts appear exactly where you paste this code. Keep it handy for the next steps.
Add the feed with a Custom Liquid section
- In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes and click Customize on your current theme.
- At the top of the theme editor, choose the page you want to edit (for example the home page or a product page).
- In the left sidebar, click Add section and choose Custom Liquid.
- Paste the embed code into the Liquid code box.
- Drag the section to where you want the feed, then click Save.
If the theme editor preview does not show the posts, open your store in a new tab to check.
Show the feed on all product pages
Product pages share one template. If you add the Custom Liquid section while editing the product template, the feed appears on every product page that uses that template.
Show the feed on every page
Sections added in the footer group of the theme editor appear on every page. Add the Custom Liquid section there if you want the feed site-wide.
If your posts do not appear
- Check that the widget is set to Published in the dashboard. An unpublished widget shows nothing.
- Make sure the whole code was pasted, from
<scriptto</script>. - Look at the published page, not the editor. Many editors do not run scripts while you are editing.
Get your embed code in a few minutes. The Free plan needs no credit card.
